Captain Chatham

Meet Captain Chatham Conner, owner and operator of Sitka Coastal Adventures. Born and raised in Sitka, this local has a lot of knowledge about the coastal waters that surround Sitka. Chatham grew up living life in the outdoors and has been a part of many local commercial fisheries from gillnetting to longlining and everything in between. In the off season, Chatham spends most of his time out in the Tongass National Forest chasing Sitka Blactail Deer, and Mountain Goat and on the water fishing and camping with his family.

Brigsleigh Dawn

Tours and fishing charters are done off the fishing vessel Brigsleigh Dawn, a 25ft Parker with twin 150 Yamaha outboards. The back deck has ample room for fishing and being comfortable when viewing the beautiful Sitka sound scenery and wildlife we have an over hang to stay out of the rain and a heated cabin to warm up.

We invite all ages aboard! Equipped with life jackets for all sizes and first aid kits. There is no bathroom aboard, but a five gallon bucket with seat is available for bathroom emergencies. We recommend bringing a lightweight rain jacket and pants, as weather in Sitka can be unpredictable at times. Although charters and tours will be in summer months, we still recommend wearing layers to keep warm.
